Bulgarian Prision Camps



Varna

VARNA: This prison camp was located in northeastern Bulgaria in the department of Schumen. Varna was a fortified seaport on the Black Sea and a major commercial center in the kingdom. The World's Alliance of YMCA's assigned a secretary to establish War Prisoners' Aid services to Allied prisoners in Varna by March 1918.
