Bulgarian Prision Camps



Eski-Djoumaja

ESKI-DJOUMAJA: This prison camp was located in northeastern Bulgaria in the department of Schumen on a major railway line. The facility was situated thirty-seven miles south of Ruse and twenty miles west of Shumla. By March 1918, the World's Alliance assigned a secretary to maintain War Prisoners' Aid programs at Eski-Djoumaja.
