Appendix 4B. Supplemental Materials: Contemporary Bobbili and Vizianagaram

Bobbili offers up commemoration of the battle waged, and sacrifice made by those in the fort in 1756. While the current palace is in a different spot from the one where the siege was held, the older fort is marked by a memorial pillar. Elsewhere in Bobbili, a statue stands to honor Tandra Papparayudu, avenger of the Raja of Bobbili, and hero of lore.

The images offer views of contemporary Bobbili and the fort at Vizianagaram, a chance to compare the scale of the two rajadoms.
