Notes: Prices for 1810 include summer, fall, and winter reportings. The remainder of the table relates to prices during the fishing season. Winter prices were often higher, sometimes as much as 20 percent, especially in the outports. Most prices appeared in the original returns as shillings and pence; they have been converted here to pounds, shillings, and pence as appropriate.

Some items and prices for 1822 were unreadable owing to damage to the original before microfilming.

For 1802 prices, see PANL, GN 2/1/A, 1803, vol. 17, p. 62. Blank spaces indicate that the data were not available or not entered. Note that, as with wages, the governor was providing a comprehensive itemization of prices by 1810 and a breakdown by district by 1815. This reporting was discontinued altogether in the late 1820s.
