Magude district consists of five "administrative posts" (PAs): Magude Sede, Motaze, Mahele, Phadjane, Mapulanguene. Each PA has its own sede (seat) and is subdivided into localidades (localities), aldeias (villages), and bairros (suburbs). Each PA has a chefe do posto (CP) who resides at the PA sede and reports to the district administrator. Below the CPs, secretáios perform local administrative functions at the levels of localidade, aldeia, and bairro.
